#RookieOfAtlanta Interview w/ @Lasko_Bills

Lasko Bills just dropped his newest project #IDecidedNotToGoToCollege, on the up and coming Atlanta label D.O.P.E that also houses Scott P. This is our interview with the young visionary.
1. Where are you from?
- Southside Chicago, Illinois
2. When did you fall in love with rap?
- When I was 7 or 8 that's when I started taking it serious. That's when I knew I wanted to be a rapper.
3. How did you start rapping? 
- I was around 7 and I knew I heard rap before and I heard a T.I song and my next door neighbour rapped too and I would ask him to help me out.
4. Who supports your career in music? 
- My mom, DOPE, family, friends and a selective few girls.
5. What makes you different from the artists in Atlanta? 
- I don't do the same trap rap as everyone else and I'm more authentic and I'm relatable.
6. What movie describes your music and life? 
- Shaft because he's so real.
7. What was the first rap song you ever heard? 
- Common - Be
8. What was the first song you wrote? 
- I was in middle school in 7th grade called Young Emphamus we made a song called Summer the only reason we made it was because summer was on the way.
9. How many songs did you record for your project? 
- 17 and the rest of the songs that didn't make it will be out soon.
10. What made you name your project that?
- I wanted to do something that represented me and I decided to not go to college and everything that went with it. 
11. What is the atmosphere like in the studio while recording your project?
- Depending on the song it was different. 
12. Where did you get your name from?
- My brother told me to change my name and he just threw it out Lasko Bills. Because there was a Lasko fan in the corner and a Bufflo Bills football too. 
13. What producers fit your sound?
- This producer named QJoshB, Ace, EstrdaBeats I think a lot of producers fit my style. 
14. Who would you want to collab with in Atlanta? 
- Two9, Raury, Makoeen, FatManKey, Gucci Mane, Young Thug and PeeWee Longway 
14. What is DOPE to you? 
- That anyone can do it if you put your mind to it. It's a lifestyle.
15. Are you ready for the next step in your career? 
- I would like to say I'm ready but I haven't really done anything.
16. How long does it take you to record?
- Hours because I mess up a lot.
17. What do you want your legacy to be?
- I just want to be the best. 
18. Has someone ever killed you on your own song and you had to come back to fix your verse?
- I haven't fixed it but it has happened. 
19. What r&b singer would you want on a track? 
- Ty Dolla $ or Kehalni 
20. Which is more important a street presence or an internet presence? Or both?
- They both are important. Street is more important. 
21. Is what your doing now going to benefit you 10 years from now?
- Yes I do believe it. 
22. What experiences in life have made you who you are today?
- My mom leaving for work and then my dad leaving for work 
23. When everything is said and done what do you want GOD to say to you?
- I'm proud that you finally stopped sleeping on yourself and you were right. 
24. What skills/personal attributes are most important to being successful?
- Team work, being honest, and having people skills and being welcoming.
