Review: "Same King. New Era" - Keiith

This is my first introduction to Keiith's music; i'm glad I had a body of work to analyze. Rain recommended I review this project. The intro with shawty talking shit is great. This project sounds like it could've went gold 2006-2009. Best comparison I can make is "Best Thang Smoking" by Young Dro. Same King. New Era is very southern but not trap rap. Monte Carlo makes me feel like i'm riding through Atlanta while listening to it. Dre Bigga hook is catchy yet complex and Keiith sounds confident on the first verse. Ea$t Side Flayva is missing something, but I don't know what. HQ Jonez production on Left Lane Pimp fits Keiith as if it was tailor made. "Couple of college girls on the dean list/poppin pussy like they momma did at Freaknik" is my favorite line on the tape. Know Dat sounds very groovy, Curren$y needs to be on the remix. Da Kidd Half produced most of the tape, with a few joints from HQ Jonez, Leftlane, and DJ Knowledge. Overall this tape is tape is OK, leaning more towards good.
