OG MACO REVIEW

OG Maco came through with a "SELF TITLED" project; emphasis because niggas don't do it any more. I personally starting listening to him when Give Em Hell was announced. When I heard Give Em Hell I was officially a fan. Anyone who rode in my car this summer has heard it multiple times. His prior tape Live Life 2, was great, and didn't disappoint me on Cardo's Production. On OG Maco he decided to put old songs on this tape, similar to what J. Cole did with Lights Please. The tape opens up with a random skit, I would like to know the reasoning behind it. I can only listen to All on Me because of the production. Hearing Bitch U Guessed It without Key! is always weird. Now, 12 Bricks is the most confusing song on the EP; I hate it and love it. I love it because FKI's simple beat, but the song is 90% adlibs. CRU is my great, this is "stomp a nigga out" music. I like the substance ManManSavage added to the hook on 2 Bars. the Bar, "OG told me don't dump clips, just aim and squeeze watch the rest happen" is godly. Overall this tape has two main lanes aggressive or ambitious. Rate: 7.65

Favorite Tracks: CRU, 12 Bricks,2 Bars, Human Nature, Heat.

Least Favorite Tracks: Seizure, Been Thuggin.
