#BYNDFRIDAY Review

BYND Friday is by the Cobb Co. based brand Beyond. Two things that stood out on this project were the beat selections and mixing. The tape starts out great with 2 Dope Boyz, the synths set a hazy mood that lingers throughout the tape.Thank you for doing the 9th Wonder beat justice; [Men$a and Dino] are my favorite rappers on this tape. Men$a delivered some icy ass hooks on every song he was on; and the Celebration Interlude is filled with witty punchlines . 

I like Mr. Dino because the sample sounds American gangster-ish, gritty yet smooth. #YDFTWNR needs a video similar to Flashing Lights, I get a PartyNextDoor vibe from the sound. Daylan used autotune, but the tone of it fit the beat perfectly. They balance trap and boom bap influences very well. I can not hate on that formula at all. Rate: 8.6

Favorite Tracks: 2 Dope Boyz, Polished, Forever A Day, #YDFTWNR, and Them Hundreds 

Least Favorite Tracks: 1994 and Between Friends (Only because, Earl)
