2. When did you fall in love with rap?
- I fell in love with Rap while growing up, I love the culture and its different limbs.
3. How did you start rapping?
- My brother inspired me with his production, I went through a phase where I wasn’t really sociable and writing (rapping) was the only way to vent and articulate how I felt. I did it in secrecy until I worked up the courage to let people listen.
4. How old were you when you really started taking music seriously?
- 20
5. Are you the only person in your family that is musically inclined?
- No my brother is into production.
6. Were you always interested in music?
- Yes, since I was younger. I grew up listening to Fela Kuti, Outkast, The Fugees etc. The way they created inspired me.
7. What is your sound?
- My sound is a culmination of all my different influences so it changes, it could be funky, relaxed, feel good or serious depending on the song.
8. What was the first song you wrote? - Imitation is suicide
9. If you could create a collective full of artists from indie Atlanta who would you choose? (Not your crew your already with)
- Bodega Bowie, Key!, NicX, is all I could think of right now.
10. Who do you like to collab with in G6ngG9NG?
- It depends on who I feel will bring the most to the song.
11. What is G6ngG9ng and how did it start? - We are the Ying and the Yang. A collective of completely different individual. How it started and the explanation behind the name is too long to type but the name came from K-roc (BirdChestShawty). The 6 and the 9 represent the Ying and the Yang.
12.Your family is Nigerian, were they accepting of you and you wanting a career in music?
- No not really, it’s the type of thing where they will show me love if I make it but judge me if I don’t.
13, Do you like writing?
- I love it. Especially when I’m inspired. All my truths and insecurities are in my music.
14. Did you ever have to redo your verse after someone did theirs?
- No
15. After dropping "YEN" will you drop some videos soon?
- Within the next 2 month I will be dropping nothing but visuals.
16. How long does it take you to record?
- It takes time, I might record a hook and sit on it for a week or two and come back to record it, or take my time layering different vocals.
17. What do you want your legacy to be?
- That I was an honest artist, that showed you don’t have to be 100% trap or 100% conscious. You can smoke and do all that shit and still be a good person.
18. Is what your doing now going to benefit you 10 years from now?
- Yeah.
19. What experiences in life have made you who you are today?
- Everything, from the good to the bad.
20. When everything is said and done what do you want GOD to say to you?
- You can come in.
