#RookieOfAtlanta Interview w/ @Ro_Outsyders

FlyNation artist RO.Akin is about to have the best few days of his life. His mixtape "Mixed Feelings" is about to be released on livemixtapes on the 19th and he released a dope video for the single "My Role" which is at the bottom for your viewing. Before the video and the mixtape date came, RO.Akin and I had a lengthy conversation over Skype during his Rookie Of Atlanta interview. He happens  to be the first interview on the brand new thebezonnian18.com. 

1. Where are you from?

 • I was born in Atlanta.

2. When did you fall in love in hop hop?

 - I started listening to hip hop pretty late at 16. I was more into rock and pop. After that I fell into what everyone else was listening.

3. What made you get into rapping?

 - I used to skateboard then we moved to the SouthSide where that wasn't popular. So I kept skating then I stopped because it felt out of place so I started rapping. 

4. What producers you like working with?

 • I used to be apart of a production team called "The Outsyders" so I used to only work with them and a few others.

5. How did you come up with you name?

 • My rap name is a abbreviation of my real name. 

6. Where do you think fit in the Atlanta scene?

• Honestly, I don't want to fit in the Atlanta rap scene. I don't want to be limited,I want to stand out.  

7. Who do you like collabing with? 

• Young Lyxx x Morris FitzGerald

8. Besides music your really into fashion, how did you get into that? Why do you also dress the way you do? 

• I always loved clothes, I used to make customized Air Force Ones for people in high school.  I was voted most creative in high school. The reason I dress the way I do is because when I younger I had a friend from Cape Verde who asked me if I could speak my native tongue since I'm  Nigerian, I said no and she called me a fake Nigerian. So from then on in I started dressing like this.

9. When is your tape dropping?

 • We are aiming for August 19th.

 • Eclectic

 • Orgasmic

11. If you had to listen to one album for the rest of your life what would it be?

 • Good Kidd, MADD City

12. How long does it take you to record? 

 • It depends on the vibe. 

13. What do you want your music legacy to be? 

 • Everything more then music. I want to be known for my organizations, band, etc. 

14. What experiences in life have made you who you are today?

 • So many. I'm a product of my environment. Friendships lost and gained.

15. Who are you?

 • A guy who just want to be happy.

16. When everything is said and done what do you want GOD to say to you?

 • Come on in and takeover over for a while.
