@CocaVango #RookieOfAtlanta Interview

Coca Vango is one of the premier artists on Longway ENT. His single "I Go Hard" caught my attention and his follow up single "I Wish" was even better. I had a chance to interview Coca and find out more about him. 

1. Where are you from?

 - Atlanta, Ga

2. How do you get your ideas for music?

 -  I go off my experiences in life.

3. Why do you rap?

 - I just always loved music, I just want to give people a great feeling when they listen to music. I have a great way with lingo also.

4. What does hip hop mean to you?

 - Emotion. 

5. When did you fall in love with hip hop?

-  When I was 13 listening to my mom play old school music.

6. What was the first song you knew from start to finish?

- T.I - Trap Musik

7. Is there a mixtape dropping soon?

- Yeah, on Thanksgiving of this year. It might be earlier. It's going to be called "Dope Art". 

8. Who all do you want to work with in Atlanta? 

-  Whoever want to work with me.

9. How did you link up with "Longway"?

-  My brother has the promotion team I been rapping forever so why not just link up like that.

10. What is a favorite song of yours that you have recorded?

 - Cream. I'll be releasing it pretty soon along with a visual probably. 

11. Who do want to collab with?

- T.I x Jeezy x Ludacris x Future x Jim Jones x Julez Santana

12. Where do you think you fit in hip hop? 

- Right in. I been a writer and now I just want to tell the truth.

13. What do you want your legacy to be?

- Coca Vango is a dope artist and I want to be that person who helps someone get through the day. 

14. Where did you get your rap name from?

- Coca: Dope I feel like I'm dope and Vango from the painter. So for the tape I just combined the two.

15. How did you know rapping was for you?

- When MySpace was hot I put songs out on there when I was 15 16 years old. I got a lot of good feedback from that. So the contacts I have now are from that. 

16. What experiences in life have made you who you are today?

- Having my daughter

- my dad dying having to become the man of the house

- being hardheaded as a child

17. When everything is said and done what do you want GOD to say to you?

- I know you did your best when you were down on earth so I'm proud of you.
