A$e McCain @AcexForever #RookieOfAtlanta Interview

These next few weeks will be important one for OE artist A$e McCain. Not only is his "Homicide" remix video coming out soon he's the second artist to be interviewed on the brand new TheBezonnian18.com. I got a chance to interview the OE and solo artist a few weeks back for our RookieOfAtlanta interview series. This is what we got out of our lengthy conversation.

1. Where are you from?

 • Houston, Texas

2. When did you fall in love with hip hop? 

 • Ever since I was younger, I can't give you no specific date.

3.Would you consider yourself a Houston rapper or an Atlanta rapper?

 • I'm an artist, I don't limit myself.

4. Who are your influences in music?

 • J.Cole x Kendrick Lamar x Wale x Big L x Biggie x Tupac

5.What made you start rapping?

 • I actually started singing first, then I started to battle rap but I loved making songs more.

6. How long does it take you to record? 

 • Depending on the way I feel about the beat, it's 15 mins. But if I want it to be perfect I'll take a week on it.

 7. What type of beats do you like rapping over?

 • Ever since I came to Atlanta it's trap beats, but I can mix it up to.

8. How did you figure out your sound?

 • I practiced. 

9. What are 5 words that can describe your music?

 • Feeling x power x clever x perfection x ear catching 

10. What advice can you give aspiring artists?

 • Don't let anyone tell you that can't do it.

 11. When is your tape dropping?

 • F.A.M.E = Fuck All My Enemies will be out I'm thinking mid- September.

12. Who do you like collabing with?

 • OE x Da Kidd Half x OV Squirt (Free Squirt) (At the time Squirt was incarcerated) x Roddy 

13. What do you want your music legacy to be?

 • To say I made it farther then Houston.

 14. If you had to stop rapping tomorrow who would your last collab be with? 

 • Big Krit x Jayz x J.Cole

15. Do you have a dream collab?

 • J.Cole that's a goal of mine. 

16. How do you come up with concepts for your music?

 • I go off my emotions. Whatever I'm feeling or whatever I'm going through I write about that. 

17. How did you come up with your rap name?

 • I always played cards and the Ace was always my favorite card. Then in '08 during the election, everyone was going toward Obama, so I went to the left and I got McCain.

18. What experiences in life have made you who you are today?

 • Coming from nothing. 

19. Who are you?

 •  I'm A$e McCain, get addicted. 

20.  When everything is said and done what do you want GOD to say to you? 

• I forgive you.
