#RookieOfAtlanta Interview w/ @SkiVerde

This installment of our "Rookie Of Atlanta" interview series features Ski Verde of the crew "Chiefs". This is our interview. 

1. Where are you from?

 - Jonesboro,GA

2. When did you fall in love with hip hop?

 - When I heard it in 1997 or 1998. 

3. How did you come up with your name? 

 -  Before when I was Chief Deion I was that name because I was a heavy smoker and now i'm Ski Verde because I'm cold and I love green.

4. What was the first bar you ever wrote?

 - I don't even remember it was so long ago.

5. If you had to stop rapping tomorrow, who would be the last person you would collab with? 

 - No one. 

6. Your also a producer, how did you get introduced into making beats?

 - All my friends were making beats when we were around the age of 15, so I downloaded Fruit Loops and started playing around. 

7.Do you have a favorite producer?

 - Kanye x Lex Luger x 808 Mafia x Lil Hi Music x Mac Tutmose.

8. How did you figure out your song?

 - I just played around with it until I found my sound?

9. What type of beats do you like rapping over?

 - Any beat really, but fasts beats are my favorite.

10. If you had to listen to 3 albums for the rest of your life, what would they be?

 - Atliens - Outkast x Late Registration x Graduation Kanye West  

11. Who started "Chief$?"

 - High Tower and I started it.

12.Whats in your iPod?

 - Lil Phat x Alley Boy x Gucci Mane x Lil Boosie x Waka Flocka x GBE x Young Dro x DG Yola 

13. What was the feeling like when you heard the first song you ever recorded?

 - I felt good. 

14. Besides music, what are your other hobbies?

 - I like getting money.

15. If rap doesn't work what's your plan B?

 - Work harder. 

 16. Where do you think you fit in Atlanta hip hop?

 - Nowhere, I'm outside of it.

17. How do you want to be remembered in hip hop?

 - I want to be respected. 

18. What experiences in life have made you who you are?

 - I've seen people get shot x rob x and finessing so I've seen a lot. 

19. When everything is said and done what do you want GOD to say to you?

 - Welcome.

 20. Who are you?

 - I'm still figuring that out.
