Kodakk 6000 is one of the premiere urban dancers in Atlanta. He's one of the creators of some of the many dances here including "Whoop Rico" and most recently "The Whoopsi". Recently I was able to have a Tango interview with the dancer. This is Kodakk's " Up Close & Personal" interview.


1. Where are you from?
 - Gary, Indiana but I been in Stone Mountain, GA for a long time.
2. How did you get introduced to dancing?
 - Through Micheal Jackson, that's all we had to look up to in Gary.
3. What age did you start dancing?
 - I was 5 when I did my first show. I actually sucked when I first started.
4. What is that feeling you have before stepping into a battle?
 - Anxiety, I feel like I'm about to revive any stress it's my stress reliever its therapeutic.
5.Do you like dancing alone or in a group?
 - Group routine wise no, but alone yes I love to freestyle. 
6. Is there a stigma on dancers?
 - Yeah it's the biggest one in entertainment. They belittle us they put us in the back, without us music videos will suck, we bring videos to life.
7. What style of dancing is the hardest?
  - For me, it's breakdancing because its for people with strong upper body strength. Overall it's krumping because you have to feel the energy, it's not something you can learn overnight.
8. How many battles have you been in?
 - I been doing dance battles since I was 16, 17 so I been in over 86 battles.
9. What dancers do you look up to? 
 - Tight Eyez  he made up krumping. Popping Pete x Mr.Wheels x Mr.Wiggles x Umin a dance group out of Japan.
10.Who is the better dancer Chris Brown or Omarion?
 - Omarion is way better then Chris. Omarion was born to do it.
11.Do you have a favorite song to dance to?
 - Future - We Got All The Money
12. Is the Whoopsi picking up?
 - Yes it is. It's picking up on the professional level and other established dancers city wide. People are making it their own its taking off. 
13. Have you ever gotten injured?
 - No I haven't, but I seen people get injured in battles before.
14.  What experiences in life have made you who you are today? 
 - Being a pioneer of a style x getting ripped off x people looking at dance as its lame. There isn't anyone else in Atlanta dance culture but me so I can't stop.
15. Who are you? 
 - I'm Kodakk I'm the kid who everyone in Atlanta knew off YouTube x I'm the kid at 18 that had 1 million YouTube views x I'm Atlanta's favorite dancer x I'm here to be legendary.
16. When everything is said and done what do you want GOD to say to you?
 - Well done my son, mission complete.
