Rookies Of Atlanta Interview w/ @FliikoL

In this installment of "Rookies Of Atlanta" I got a chance to interview OGXGang rapper FliikoL.

1. Where are you from?

 - College Park, Georgia
2. How did you start rapping?

 - . I was born into a musical family I've been a MC since the day one. I wrote my first rhyme when I was 6 years old. Watching my family produce and perform music, mainly my mom inspired me to keep at my craft.3. Rihanna or Megan Good?
 - Megan Good
4. What is OGXGang and do they help you with your music?

 -  OGXGang is a networking community/ family started by my best friend Caine. Many people in the group have their own talents and things they bring to the table. They don't necessarily help me with my music but a lot of them support it. You can check out the website if you're interested in learning more about it. http://www.drainouniverse.com/ogxgang5. Have you encountered any obstacles on your come up?
 - Absolutely, I can't even count how many obstacles I’ve not only encountered but most importantly over come.  Also, I know that there will be plenty more it comes with the territory of being an artist. I see more and more new obstacles every day I could sit here and run a list down for you but I feel like overcoming obstacles is the key to success so I feel like I can handle whatever comes my way.

6. What's your favorite Mixtape?
 - My favorite mixtape would have to be "Fliiko Mayweather".  Although, I don’t feel like it's my BEST mixtape it is still my favorite because of the moment it reminds me of. "Fliiko Mayweather" was the first mixtape I dropped after the YouTube video I put out that gained me the most exposure I’ve ever had. It reminds me of the tons of fan mail & love I was getting at the time from all the new fans I gained. The fact that a lot of the love came from people over seas in countries I've never been too
was overwhelming and it just gave me what I feel was a small sample of
the love I would get if I was to have a bigger name for myself. Plus most of my supporters label "Fliiko Mayweather" as a classic so therefore I would definitely have to say that is my favorite mixtape I've put out so far.
7. Who in Atlanta do you like working with?
 -  I like working with a few artist in Atlanta. A local artist named PK is someone that I work with a lot and I think he's a very talented artist we make great records together if I can say so myself. Another artist I like working with is Y. Teezy who I think is an incredible MC. I think he has a high music IQ which is something that I feel we have in common so working with him is always great as well. I also like working with Joey Cool Beatz who is a producer, he's dope and he has a great work ethic that I respect to the fullest.
8. When is your Mixtape coming out?

 -  I don't have a release date yet most of the material is already written I'm just looking for a recording spot at the moment. I lost my home studio a few months ago so it's been sort of a setback for me but
I’m working on finding a recording situation as we speak so I can say it won't be too long of a wait......I'm working on it.

9. What is your favorite movie?
 -  I can't pick a number one favorite but "Juice" is definitely one of my favorite movies of all time. I can watch that movie and feel like I’ve never seen it before every time. "Belly", "State Property", & “ATL" are some of my favorites too just to name a few.

10. Who are you?
 -  I’m just someone who has a strong passion for music who dreams for mine to be heard…That’s it.
11. When everything is said and done what do you want GOD to say to you?

 -  "Welcome Home".
