For this installment of "Rookies Of Atlanta" interview I got a chance to interview up and coming rapper CadaBug"
1. Where are you from?
I'm from what we call the Wish-A-Nigga-Woods. Bellwood. i-290 West from downtown Chicago.
2. What made you start rapping?
I started rapping around 14-15 with two of my best friends who lived on my block. winter back home is cold. really cold. so you gotta find stuff to do indoors. we started rapping.
3. Who do you like collaborating with?
I like a lot of genres so I tend to like a lot of artist. I like collabing with my homies Chiiirp & Heda Holmes. they have their own, very cultured way of rapping. if that makes sense? lol
4. Where did you get your rap name from?
My rap name comes from my middle name, Cycada. my mom named me after cicada bugs. where I grew up they come out every 17 years during the summer & I happened to be born during that 1990 summer.
5. What made you change your hair color?
I've actually never changed my hair color...
6. Do you see longevity in this?
I'm the type to plan for longevity so that's the foundation I'm building now. no rush, no worries. so I guess my answered would be, yes!
7. If you could go to any country in the world where would you go?
Monaco. swear I'm moving there.
8. Who do you want to work with?
man i would love to work with an artist such as Andre 3000. & I was a huge Pimp C fan too. but honestly I love working with upcoming artist on some new stuff. don't be afraid of different.
9. What experiences in life have made you who you are today?
I've lost some close friends at a young age & it made me realize nothing is promised. you gotta take life by the horns & cherish each day. you never know.
10. When everything is said and done what do you want GOD to say to you?
I just want him to tell me I did well. that I let his will be done. that's all.
